Retail Investors
Retail Investors are considered to be non-professional investors with no or little knowledge of financial markets. A retail investor would buy/sell securities from their own personal account and often in smaller transaction sizes. Given the recent updated in regulation, Retail Investors are protected by regulators throughout Europe and the UK. Also see Professional Investors in this section.
