This would generally be considered as a corporate, business, partnership or any other professional entity which has sound knowledge of the financial markets and financial instruments. Professional Investors typically have less regulatory protections as opposed to Retail Investors, as they are deemed to be experienced and knowledgeable in giving/receiving investment services/advice.
